I Am Tonic

I am Georgina, Founder and Creative Director of Tonic Apothecary®. I am about the business of blending natural remedies and skincare preparations and harnessing ancient herbal practices into the 21st century via carefully sourced natural and organic products from the beautiful islands of the Caribbean.

I am a Herbalist, and most of my knowledge was passed down from my grandmother, a Jamaican immigrant of the Windrush Generation. She made efforts to ‘connect back home’ through herbal remedies and tonics to prevent ailments brought on by the cold British weather. 

From the herbalists of ancient times to the indigenous Carib tribes of the Tropics, tonics have been the healing of villages, towns, cities and nations. Tonic Apothecary® offers products that not only nourish the body, but also the mind and soul.

Tonics have always played a major role in my life as in most Caribbean households at one time, and Tonic Apothecary® is my personal celebration and contribution to the preservation of the Cultural, Historical and Botanical knowledge of Our Ancestry.
